Description

Revo High Flow ObXidian nozzles combine E3D's ObXidian wear-resistant coating with High Flow internal geometry, so you can print abrasive filaments like carbon fibre and glass-filled blends at higher volumetric flow rates. They're compatible with all Revo HotEnds and coldsides, with no changes needed to your existing mount or fan duct setup.

Seriously wear resistant

With a wear resistance several orders of magnitude higher than any other E3D nozzle, and any generic hardened steel nozzle on the market, ObXidian is really hard. This is achieved by pairing a tool steel insert with E3D's E3DLC coating. The coating also embeds non-stick properties into the nozzle itself, resulting in considerably less plastic build-up around the nozzle.

Higher flow

These nozzles use a unique custom internal geometry to increase the surface area for improved thermal transfer to the filament, raising your setup's volumetric flow rate and letting you print abrasive materials faster. Revo High Flow ObXidian unlocks higher flow for the existing 0.40mm, 0.60mm and 0.80mm nozzle sizes, and adds 1.00mm, 1.20mm and 1.40mm sizes to your arsenal of abrasive-resistant nozzles.

With nozzle swapping this easy, you're free to experiment with different nozzles for different applications. In the event of issues like a clogged nozzle, simply unscrew it and replace it with a new one. This leads to a significant reduction in your 3D printer's downtime, which only means one thing: more time for 3D printing!

Please note

  • Revo Nozzles are not compatible with V6-style HeaterBlocks.
  • You may need to adjust your Z offset when changing nozzles.
  • ObXidian coated nozzles are exceptionally wear resistant and significantly outperform other hardened nozzles, but some 'exotic' engineering filaments with aggressive fillers, including but not limited to Polymaker's PolyMide range (PA612-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF and PA12-CF), can still cause significant wear even on ObXidian nozzles under extreme material conditions.
  • Some filled materials contain particles that are close to, if not larger than, some of the smaller industry-standard nozzle sizes, including up to 0.4mm. Attempting to print such materials through these nozzle sizes significantly increases the risk of a jam. Check your filament manufacturer's datasheet for the recommended minimum nozzle orifice diameter to ensure the nozzle you choose suits your use case.
