Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Aus3D Printer Suppliers ("Aus3D", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from aus3d.com.au (the "Site"). We're an Australian business based in South Australia.

What we collect

Order information. When you place an order we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment details. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments or PayPal — we never see or store your full card number.

Device information. When you browse the Site, our platform (Shopify) and our analytics provider (Google Analytics) automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type, time zone, and which pages and products you view. This is used to make the Site work correctly, screen for fraud, and help us understand how the store is used so we can improve it.

Information you choose to give us. If you contact support, leave a product review, sign up for a back-in-stock notification, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect what you submit (typically your email address and your message or review).

How we use it

  • To fulfil your order: processing payment, packing, and shipping (we share your name and delivery address with Australia Post to deliver your parcel)
  • To communicate with you about your order: confirmations, tracking, and support
  • To notify you when a product is back in stock, if you've asked us to
  • To send our newsletter, only if you've subscribed (every email includes an unsubscribe link)
  • To display product reviews you've chosen to leave
  • To screen orders for potential risk or fraud

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — for example which pages are popular and how people find us. The reports we see are aggregated and don't identify you personally. You can read about how Google handles this data in Google's privacy policy, and opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising networks or show you targeted advertising.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that run the store:

  • Shopify — hosts the store and processes orders and payments. Shopify's privacy policy
  • PayPal — if you choose to pay with PayPal. PayPal's privacy policy
  • Australia Post — receives your name and delivery address to deliver your order
  • Google Analytics — provides us with aggregated statistics about how the Site is used. Google's privacy policy · opt-out add-on
  • Judge.me — powers product reviews
  • Stoq — powers back-in-stock email notifications

Some of these providers (including Shopify) store and process data on servers located outside Australia. We may also disclose information where required by law — for example to comply with a lawful request from a regulator or law enforcement.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies — small files stored on your device — to make shopping work: keeping items in your cart, remembering your preferences, supporting checkout and login, and giving us aggregate usage statistics. These are set by Shopify, by Google Analytics (cookies beginning with _ga), and by the store apps listed above. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the Site (such as the cart and checkout) may stop working properly. For general information about managing cookies, see allaboutcookies.org.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as Australian tax and accounting law requires us to. Other information (such as support correspondence or newsletter subscriptions) is kept only as long as it's needed, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe you from any communications — email support@aus3d.com.au and we'll action it promptly (subject to records we're legally required to keep).

If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you additionally have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and objection to processing. We process your information to perform our contract with you (fulfilling your order), to comply with our legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and protecting the store, and with your consent for marketing emails.

If you're not satisfied with how we handle a privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in the EEA/UK, your local data protection authority.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal and operational reasons. The latest version will always be on this page.
