Description
Protoboard Plus is designed to make prototyping electronics projects easier. Unlike regular protoboards made from FR2, Protoboard Plus is a full FR4 PCB - making it sturdier, and more forgiving of hot soldering-iron tips! M3 screw holes make Protoboard Plus easy to fix in place.
Each Protoboard Plus incorporates two rails, ideal for supplying power to your project - simply solder on power wires or a connector, and easily access power across the board. Alphabetical column indicators and numerical row indicators make it easy to keep your design organised, and to make it even easier there's a silkscreen grid on the back of the board.
Protoboard Plus is easy to solder to, and designed to last. Unlike FR2 protoboards, all holes are double-sided, so you can solder to either side of the board without a problem. All pads are surface plated using ENIG (electroless nickel immersion gold), which gives the boards much better shelf-life (so you can put a project aside and come back to them much later without issue) and also makes soldered connections resistant to corrosion. ENIG is also more environmentally friendly than other surface-plating techniques, so it's a win-win.
Each Protoboard Plus (except the Tiny) has space on the back to write a note on the silkscreen. Use a regular felt-tip pen for an easily-erasable note, or a paint/acrylic based felt-tip for something more permanent. Never lose track of what project a board belongs to!
Protoboard Plus is the perfect replacement for regular old protoboard/stripboard/veroboard.
